What is Reiki?

Reiki is an energy healing modality that promotes relaxation, and reduces stress & anxiety, through gentle touch,

The Practice of Reiki was developed in the early 1900's by Usui Mikao in Japan. It is much more than a hands-on healing practice, it is an incredible personal development program.  It is a journey of Self Mastery.

Reiki practitioners use their hands to deliver energy to your body, improving the flow and balance of your energy to support healing. 

Reiki promotes Self Reflection, Self Healing, and Self Love.

Reiki aids in healing by helping people become energetically balanced — physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually.

It is said that you don't find Reiki, Reiki finds you. I know this to be true! So many people who are drawn to learning Reiki are already on a spiritual path. Quite often after learning Reiki, students experience an enhanced spiritual connection and rapid spiritual growth. Your intention will strengthen and grow, and you will become aware of energy and consciousness itself in whole new ways.

Reiki heals the three levels of our being - Physical, Emotional and Spiritual.

My Journey to Reiki

 Like a lot of people, I have spent the bulk of my life working in a field that I believed I was good at, but knew I was not passionate about, struggling to stay whole along the way & always feeling there was a void deep inside me.

Having said that, no matter what path I’ve followed over the years, it has always been in service of others and in each role that I filled, there was always an element of coaching, nurturing and mentoring that flowed naturally.

I had been working with energy for longer than I can remember now.  In the early years it was without any structure or guidance. Then, at the beginning of 2012, I decided that it was time to return to the formal education arena after 40 years since leaving school. I was being called to study Counselling. I was never a good student, so it was a bit overwhelming at first.

This was my first taste of working, with others, at the emotional level, with structure. Unfortunately, there was a gap for me because it did not encompass any work on the spiritual level. 

At the same time, a major crisis began to unfold in my life. I felt like I had lost everything that was important to me. It felt like I was in a desert and at rock bottom, yet again. There were so many extremely low times when I could have very easily ended it all.

Fortunately for me, by divine intervention (through the guidance of an incredibly special earth angel), I was introduced to my original Reiki Master, who also widened my knowledge base with Crystal Healing (I had loved my crystal babies for years) and collaborating with Angels. I had now acquired the tools and a structure to stay in my heart space and believe in miracles.

As I said earlier, I had been working with energy for such a long time, but always pulling on my own energy, which is very exhausting.

For me now, learning will continue to be an integral part of my life as I broarden my tool kit for my own evolution and to work with my clients and students.

Having Reiki in my everyday life has been such a gift from above!

Why  I  Teach  Reiki

Through working with hundreds of clients and students, I have come to know that so many families around the globe are facing similar challenges to those I've overcome.

They struggle daily, especially women who are living a balancing act between working full-time, caring for their families, sometimes still studying, worrying about finances and, trying for find time for themselves to fill their emotional cup up.

 It is sad that these challenges  often break families apart and create very painful experiences, especially for the children involved, which can take a lifetime to overcome the emotional trauma created.

Reiki has bought clarity, peace, purpose, passion, and joy into my life!

How could I not share this beautiful modality, with anyone willing to be open to new ideas, and commited to creating a better way of living for themselves and their families?

Level 2 - Okuden

Inner Teachings - Healing Beyond Time and Space

Okuden, meaning Hidden Teachings, the teachings/wisdom hidden within you.

This level transforms your awareness of Reiki with deeper practices further transforming your energy (and mind).At least 2 to 3 months of daily practise between Reiki 1 and 2 training is required for you to embody the earlier teachings.
 

This level sets you on the path of Professional Practitioner if you choose. 

Reiki II opens additional energy centres and connects you to a greater volume of Reiki Energy.

During the training, you are given three sacred symbols, each having a specific function. These symbols can then be used as a focus to enable you to strengthen mental and emotional healing and to send absentee healing. A large part of the training received in Second Degree is centred on the understanding and use of these symbols.
 

In Reiki II training you receive two attunements. At this stage of the training, the energy attunement is greatly amplified and its focus is on the etheric body rather than the physical. As a result of these attunements, you may develop both a greater sensitivity to energy and a psychic awareness.
 

Techniques are taught to enable you to:

Focus energy on the release of mental and emotional blocks
Focus your mind to enable to send Reiki energy beyond time and space to bring about effective absentee healing.

Release negative patterns that are keeping you stuck and no longer serve you

Develop a greater sensitivity to energy and a psychic awareness.
The use of symbols and mantras help you to access these energies effectively and bring about profound mental and emotional healing. A part of this level is centred on the understanding and use of symbols.

Reiki 2 is a two-day training which covers the following:

Revision of your Reiki 1 training along with a change to have a Question and Answer opportunity to cover your experiences since Reiki 1 training
Meditation
Reiki 2 Attunements
3 Reiki 2 symbols – learning to draw and use
Absent healing techniques
Empowering and healing events (past and future)
Hands-on practical session
How to clear stagnant energy from living spaces
Other uses of the symbols
Sharing Reiki

What is a Reiki Share Circle?

A Reiki Share, also known as Reiki Circle or Exchange, is a gathering of Reiki practitioners to participate in individual or group Reiki treatments on each other. The main purpose for the Reiki share is to give and receive Reiki in a casual atmosphere that fosters Self-Care, sharing knowledge and hone your skill.
 

As a Certified Reiki Master Teacher, I have been facilitating Share Circles for many years, now for my students, to assist them to deepen their connection and confidence with Reiki for their personal care and as Qualified Practitioners.
 

In recent years I have become aware of many practitioners who, for varying reasons, have not been using their Reiki skills and are being called back to re-introduce Reiki back into their lives.  For this reason, I have opened our Reiki Share sessions to the wider Reiki community, in the hope that it will encourage more practitioners to be proactive in their practice of Reiki as Self-Care.
 

We gather monthly in the Alchemy for Life studio on the second Wednesday evening of the month. 
 

Numbers are limited to ten to keep the evening intimate and bookings are essential.  Reiki tables are all set up ready to go when you arrive, and light refreshments is provided between sessions.
 

A small fee of $25 is payable to cover setup and refreshments.

What does it mean to become a Reiki Master?

Every Reiki Master on the planet will most likely answer this question differently. This is because each Master knows that becoming a Reiki Master and living as one is primarily about self-improvement and peacemaking rather than just hanging a certificate on the wall.
 

A lot of the initiation into Reiki Mastership is asking you to expand upon who you are as a person. You are being asked to refine your perspective of life and experiences to create a wholesome healer rather than promote you being an expert healer. You are already an expert healer, everyone is.

This is more focused on understanding and embracing Reiki and its foundational precepts as a way of life more than anything else. When one understands this well, they often realise their authentic self, more than ever. In doing so, this opens the doorway for them to find a deeper more lasting self-acceptance, which is often the pillar of any spiritual path you take.

A true Reiki Master understands their heart and their minds workings well, and no longer does battle with either to the extent they once did. They are consciously aware of their feelings and perceptions and always have a thirst for new and different perspectives to take on or leave as they forge forward forming their own authentic perspective of life and belief system, all while embracing Reiki and energy itself as an unlimited tool that delivers this power and this love to us.

Becoming a Reiki Master does not always mean that you intend or must journey on to teach Reiki.
It is a very personal journey that is more about Self Mastery rather than Mastering Reiki. It is very much about becoming the absolute best YOU that you can possibly be.

If then, (because of undertaking this level), you come to teach this amazing modality, that is a bonus. This planet is calling out for good leadership, compassion, healing and spiritual guidance, and we all teach in different styles. Each different style and teacher will attract a different audience. It is very much a personal journey!

Becoming a Reiki Master is not a 'Right of Passage.'

Reiki Master Tuition includes:

An in-person attunement initiation to the Reiki Master energy level.
 

Learning the requirements and fundamental principles handed down in the Usui tradition of Reiki Master teachers.
 

Learning of three Master level Usui Reiki sacred symbols and their meanings, uses, and practical applications.
 

How to use the symbols for hands-on and distant healing.

The ethics required when using the symbols.

Membership to the Reiki Soul Tribe Facebook Group if new to the Alchemy for Life.

The balance is payable on first day of training.
Prerequisite: Level Two Reiki plus 12 months of practice to integrate the learnings into your your life.

In addition to the above organisational requirements, this training includes 2 one on one Coaching sessions with Reiki Master/Teacher Kerrie MacDonald. These sessions are designed to assist you in integrating your path as a Reiki Master with 1 of the sessions completed in the lead up to your training with the following one intended to assist you in integrating your learning into your Practice.

Reiki Master Teacher Training is a tailored program that supports the truly dedicated Reiki Practitioners to further deepen their journey to Reiki & Soul Mastery and step into the space of Reiki Master/Teacher.

One of the amazing benefits of this training is tapping into the understanding of the Limitless Being  you are and the confidence to journey forward shining your light brightly to show the way for others.

Children's Reiki

This training was created for children who march to the beat of their own drum, are highly imaginative, intuitive, and sensitive to feelings of all that surround them.  Thes children will one day be our greatest teahers, guides, and leaders.

Bringing Reiki, a simple energy technique, to children deepens clarity and validates their ingerent abilities.  It also offers amazing benefits like improved concentration,empathy for self and others, enhanced relaxation and slppe, more creativity, enhanced compassion for all living things, and better self-awareness.

This training is designed to help children connect with energy and gain self-awareness in a fun and loving way!

They will learn exercises to promote balance, wellness and relaxation of the body, while teaching them easy ways to help concentrate and settle their mind.
 

Crystal Grids from previous trainings.

Children will learn Reiki in a fun and engaging environment through play, activities, mindfulness, meditation and movement.
 

Learning about and using Reiki at a young age promotes lifelong healthy living. Being attuned to Reiki energy supports children in making better choices by increasing self-confidence, enhancing self-esteem and encouraging empathy for others.

Crystals in Reiki

In this training you will learn how to combine your Reiki Skills with Crystal Healing and incorporate crystals into your Reiki healing practice. By Combining the Reiki and Crystal healing energy you can enhance and strengthen your Reiki Healing treatments.
