???????How to Balance Your Energy Centres to Improve YOUR Health & Happiness!
The human body contains hundreds of locations where there is focused and concentrated energy. There are however, seven major energy centres, referred to as chakras.
The word ?Chakra? is derived from Sanskrit and means ?wheel of light?. The chakras are spinning vortexes of energy, located within our auric body, through which we receive, transmit, and process life energies. They are the network through which the mind, body, and soul interact as one holistic system.
The seven major chakras correspond to specific aspects of our consciousness and have their own individual characteristics and functions. The purpose in working with and understanding the chakras is to create integration and wholeness within ourselves. In this way we bring the various aspects of our consciousness from the physical to the spiritual, into a harmonious relationship.
An imbalance in the energy flow of the Chakras as well as an excess of energy can lead to an imbalance and disharmony on the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual level.
Balancing the Chakras will harmonise the body on all levels and lead to a happier, healthier, and more harmonious life for the body, mind, emotions, and soul.

Chakra Affirmations
Everything is energy and our thoughts carry energy too. This energy affects our subtle body, the chakras, and the aura. Chakra affirmations help to raise the vibration or energy of your subtle body. I have included the following affirmations to address the issues specific to each of the seven chakras.

The Root Chakra ? Muladhara - I AM
Our journey through the chakras starts in the Root/Base chakra. Muladhara, the Sanskrit name means root or support. It is located at the base of the spine, between the anus and genitals.
This chakra is connected to our physical needs and our basic human survival.
This centre holds the basic needs for survival, security, and safety. The root chakra is powerfully related to our connection to the earth and to be fully and completely here in the physical body, grounding our energy to earth. This is also the centre of manifestation. When you are trying to make things happen in the material world, business/material possessions, the energy to succeed comes from the base chakra.
Of all the chakras it vibrates at the lowest rate and its colour is red.
Too Open ? bullying, overly materialistic, self-centred, engages in foolhardiness
Blocked ? emotionally needy, low self-esteem, self-destructive behaviour, fearful
Balanced ? demonstrates self-mastery, high physical energy, grounded, healthy
Affirmations

The Sacral Chakra ? Svadhisthana ? I FEEL
The Sanskrit meaning of the Sacral Chakra is ?sweetness? and it is connected to all the things that make life sweet ? pleasure, sexuality, nurture, movement, and change. The ?Sacral Chakra? coloured in Orange, is positioned slightly below the belly button. This centre holds the basic needs for sexuality, creativity, intuition, and self-worth. The feelings of other people are directly perceived with this chakra and most of our emotions are stored within this chakra. It is our ability to flow with our emotions and to feel and reach out to others both in friendships and sexually.
The sacral chakra leads us from basic existence to a place where we are called to embrace what makes life worth living.
Too open ? emotionally unbalance, a fantasist, manipulative, sexually addictive
Blocked ? over sensitive, hard on oneself, feels guilty for no reason, frigid or impotent
Balanced ? trusting, expressive, attuned to your own feelings, creative
Affirmations

Solar Plexus ? Manipura ? I ACT
The Sanskrit name for the Solar Plexus is Manipura ? ?lustrous gem.? It resonates to yellow, like the Sun. It lies slightly above the belly button. It is the actual centre of the body, the place where the physical energy is distributed. It is also our power centre, where we store feelings of self-worth & self-esteem. It is the centre of personal power, the place of ego, of passions, impulses, anger, and strength. When the Solar Plexus Chakra is out of balance you may lack confidence, be confused, worry about what others think, feel that others are controlling your life, and maybe depressed.
Too Open ? angry, controlling, workaholic, judgemental or superior
Blocked ? overly concerned with what others think, fearful of being alone, insecure, needs constant reassurance
Balanced ? respects self and others, has personal power, spontaneous, uninhabited
Affirmations

Heart Chakra ? Anahata ? I LOVE
The Heart Chakra coloured in Green and is positioned in the middle of the chest at the height of the heart. It is the centre of real unconditional love (for self and others). This centre directs one's ability to love themselves and others, to give and to receive love. This is also the chakra connecting body and mind with spirit. When this chakra is out of balance you may feel afraid of letting go, afraid of getting hurt, or unworthy of love.
Too open ? possessive, loves conditionally, withholds emotionally ?to punish?, overly dramatic
Blocked ? fears rejection, loves too much, feels unworthy to receive love, self-pitying

The Throat Chakra coloured in Blue, is located at the ?v? of the neck above the collarbone. It is the Chakra of communication & self-expression. Creativity is conveyed from here. This is where you express yourself or have a lack of expression. The possibility for change, transformation and healing are located here. The throat is where anger is stored and finally let go of. When this chakra is out of balance you may want to hold back, feel timid, be quiet, feel weak, or can't express your thoughts.
Too open ? over-talkative, dogmatic, self-righteous, arrogant
Blocked ? holds back from self-expression, unreliable, holds inconsistent views
Balanced ? good communicator, contented, finds it easy to meditate, artistically inspired

Third Eye Chakra ? Ajna ? I See
The Third Eye Chakra coloured in Indigo, lies in the middle of the forehead, a little higher than the eyebrows. It is the centre of visual, psychic, and intuitive perception. The opening of the Third eye corresponds to spiritual awakening. Through the power of the third eye chakra, you can receive guidance, channel, and tune into your Higher Self.
When this chakra is not balanced you may feel afraid of success, ungrounded and fearful of your psychic skills. You may question your intuition.
Too open ? highly logical, dogmatic, authoritarian, arrogant
Blocked ? undisciplined, fears success, sets sights too low
Balanced ? charismatic, highly intuitive, not attached to material things, may experience unusual phenomena
Affirmations

Crown Chakra ? Sahasrara ? I Understand
The Crown Chakra coloured in Violet (although may be represented as gold, white, silver, rainbow), is positioned at the top of the head. This Chakra is the seat of intuition and direct spiritual vision, the all-knowing, the direct communion from the universe, the source of light and energy. It allows for the inward flow of wisdom and brings the gift of cosmic consciousness.
When this chakra is unbalanced, there may be resistance to religion and spirituality, no spark of joy and lack of connection to the universe.
Affirmations
The good news is, by mindfully following the suggestions above and using the affirmations, you can go a long way towards bringing your chakras into alignment.
Even better, living a lifestyle that supports chakra balance will keep your chakra energy and other body systems in overall state of healthy well-being.
